ISLAND PEAK ITINERARY

**Note: Day 1 and Day 2 are allocated for your travel time to Kathmandu.

Day 03: Arriving Kathmandu

After your arrival at the Kathmandu Airport. We will pick you up and get checked in at the Yak and Yeti Hotel located at the center of Kathmandu. in the evening you will have gears check and orientation

Day 04: Sightseeing in kahmandu

After breakfast we will visit various famous landmarks. These landmarks include: buddhist stupa Swayambhunath (monkey Temple), Boudhanath, and Hindu Temple and cremation center Pasupatui Nath. after lunch last minute shopping and welcome diner

 Day 05: Fly to Lukla by plane and hike to Phakding (8,563 ft.)

We will wake up early in the morning and fly to Lukla by using the Twin Otter Airplane. At Lukla, we will meet our sherpas, staff, and porters and begin our trek to Island Peak. Then we will begin our trek to Phakding, a relatively easy hike that will take 3 to 5 hours.

 Day 06: Trek to Namche Bazaar (11,299 ft.)

From Phakding, we will begin our hike along the Dudh Koshi River, crossing a couple of high expansion bridges, gaining 2,723 ft elevation to Namche Bazaar, the trading center of Khumbu. This is where the Tibetan and Nepali traders exchange their goods on every Saturday market. It is also the gateway to the Himalayas and is highly known for the wonderful views that it provides.

 Day 07: Acclimatization hike to Everest view Hotel

After breakfast, we will embark on an acclimatization hike to Hotel Everest View, situated at an elevation of 12,730 feet (3,880 meters), which involves gaining about 1,700 feet above Namche. From this vantage point, we will enjoy magnificent views of Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, and many other neighboring peaks. In the afternoon, we will explore the vibrant Namche market.

 Day 08: Trek to Tyangboche (12,678 ft.)

We travel high above the Dudh koshi river with views of Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Everest, and Lhotshe. We will pass Kanjuma and then descend to Phungi Thanga where we will stop for lunch and then climb a steep hill up to Tengboche.

 Day 9: Trek to Dingboche (14,469 ft.)

We’ll travel through a lush rhododendron forest, where we will cross the Dudh Kosi before we reaching Dingboche. we will be enjoying stunning views of Ama Dablam various angels.

(Roughly 6.8 miles /4to 5 hours)

 Day 10: Trek to Chukung (15,518 ft.)

From Dingboche, we will head to Chukung, a 2.5 hours trek. Here we will review mountaineering skills in the afternoon.

 Day 11: Hike to Chukung Ri (18,209 ft.)

Rest and acclimatization day. We will hike above Chukung and try to Gain 2,000ft. From there we will have a great view of Lotshe, Island Peak, Tabuche, cholatshe, Lobuje Peak, Amadablam, Baruntse, and Makalu.

 Day 12: Trek to Island Peak Base Camp (16,700 ft.)

Trek along the right side of Nuptshe glacer for 3 to 4 hours we will arrive at Island peak bace camp We will have an early dinner and get prepared for the summit. (Roughly 4 miles 4/5 hours)

Day 13: Climb up to Island Peak and back to Chukung

We will wake up around midnight and start ascending around 1:00 am. This should take about 5-6 hours to summit and back to base camp. We will then rest for an hour and continue to Chukung

Day 14: Hike to Tengboche

Day 15: Hike to Namche

 Day 16: Hike to Lukla  

Day17 : Fly to Kathmandu

Day18-19: Fly home
