CHO-OYU PRICING & SCHEDULING

  • Cho-oyu Climb

    • Climbers entering and leaving from Lhasa is additional $800 per person

    • August 28th - October 6th 2025

    • Group size : 4 -6 climbers

    • Cost $ 38,000.00

    Deposit:

    • A non-refundable deposit of US$10,000 is payable to secure a place on the expedition.

    Balance:

    • The balance of US$28,000.00 is due June 1, 2025.

    • Remaining balance that are not received within the 121 day deadline, risk forfeiture of their place and deposit on the expedition.

    All payments are due 121 days before the departure date

  • Cho Oyu Refund Policy:

    • Please note that the deposit is non-refundable. This is highly due to heavy costs that we must bear for our clients before their arrival in Nepal. This includes government permits, operator permits, food and gear that must be bought in advance and shipped to base camp for a successful expedition.

    • There are also no refunds on expeditions that conclude without reaching or making progress towards the expedition objective. Such conditions include bad route conditions, bad-weather, or any other factor that is outside the control of Khangri Experience.

    • Our refund policy also protects other climbers that have dedicated their time and capital to the expedition.

    • THERE ARE NO REFUNDS FOR CANCELLATIONS MADE LESS THAN 120 DAYS FROM THE START DATE.

    Trip Cancellation Insurance:

    • We highly advise our clients to take out trip cancellation insurance with your travel agent if you wish to be covered against cancellation due to personal or medical reasons.

    • Airport pickup upon arrival in Kathmandu

    • 4-night accommodations in Kathmandu at Yak & Yeti Hotel, 3 nights before and 1 night after the expedition

    • Welcome dinner in Kathmandu

    • Transport to Tibet (round-trip) from Kathmandu overland . Flight ticket to Lhasa is excluded.

    • All climbing permits and administration expenses

    • All food and meals during the expedition outside of Kathmandu

    • All accommodations during the drive to base camp

    • All group gear such as tents, cooking equipment, climbing gear

    • All group climbing gear including 3 oxygen bottle and mask regulators per climber

    • Communication equipments

    • Sherpa Guides, Sherpa, yaks, porters, and support staff (1:1 climber-to-guide ratio)

    • Wire transfer fee (if applicable)

    • Nepal and Tibet visa fee

    • Lhasa flight

    • International round-trip airfare USA-Kathmandu

    • Meals in Kathmandu

    • Alcoholic, bottled or canned beverages

    • All expenses incurred for an early departure from the expedition.

    • Personal items (see Gear List)

    • Personal purchases or expenses throughout the trip

    • Medical and evacuation insurance, trip cancellation insurance (highly recommended)

    • Excess baggage charges and airport taxes

    • Tips/gratitude for cooks, climbing Sherpa and guides at the end of the trip

    • Summit bonus $1,000.per sherpa guide.

    • Personal calls subject to charges

    • Charges and costs incurred as a result of delays beyond the control of Khangri Experience, LLC
