NOTE: Day 1 and 2 comprise your travel days to arrive in Kathmandu.
Day 03: Arrive at Kathmandu
After your arrival at the Kathmandu Airport. We will pick you up and get checked in at the Yak and Yeti Hotel located at the center of Kathmandu. In the evening we will have gear check and orientation.
Day 04: City tour
After breakfast we will visit various famous landmarks. These landmarks include: buddhist stupa Swayambhunath (monkey Temple), Boudhanath, and Hindu Temple and cremation center Pashupatui Nath. After lunch last minute shopping and welcome dinner.
Day 05: Fly to Lukla (9,383 ft.) and Trek to Phakding (8,562 ft.)
We will wake up early in the morning and fly to Lukla by using the twin otter Airplane. At Lukla, we will meet our sherpas, staff, and porters and begin our trek to Everest base camp. Our first stop will be to Phakding/Monjo, a relatively easy hike that will take 4 to 5 hours. (8.2km to 11.2 km/ 5.2 to 7 Miles)
Day 06: Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar (11,286ft.0
From Phakding, we will begin our hike along the Dudh koshi river, crossing a couple of high suspension bridges, gaining 2,723ft elevation to Namche Bazaar, the trading center of Khumbu. This is where the Tibetan and Nepali traders exchange their goods on every Saturday market. It is also the gateway to the Himalayas and is highly known for the wonderful views that it provides. ~5 to 6 hours (11.4km 7.2 miles)
Day 07:Trek to Thami (12,300ft.)
From Namche, we will trek to Thame about 4 hours trek to some of the most famous Sherpas climbers’ hometown in the world. Such climbers include: Tenzing Norgey, the first person to climb Everest, Ang Rita sherpa, known as snow leopard, that has summited Everest 10 time without supplement of O2, Apa Sherpa, known as the super sherpa, the first person to climb Everest 21 time, Kami Rita, known as the Everest man, who climbed Everest 28 times and finally lakpa Rita sherpa, the first Sherpa/Nepali to climb the highest peak of every continent. After lunch we will visit Thami monastery (oldest monastery in Khumbu )~9.978km 6.2 miles/4-5 hours
Day 08: acclimatization hike
we will be hiking above Thami Monastery toward Sumdur peak trying to gain up to 2,500 ft. elevation. From Sumdur peak, we will have stunning views of Amadablam, Khangtega, Thamserku, Kongde, Thangkhamuche, Tangirikitwu, Phapcharmu, Cho-oyu and many other surrounding peaks. ~6 hours round trip
Day 09:Trek to Lungden (14,225ft.)
Today, we will be hiking toward Nangpa valley which used to be a free-trading route between Tibet and Khumbu, unfortunately the pass has been closed by the Chinese few years back. ~4to 5 hours
Day 10: Acclimatization hike
Day 11:Trek to Gokyo (15,584ft.)
This is a long and challenging day crossing the Renjo Pass 17,536ft. It is important to be mindful of how the altitude is affecting you so as not to put yourself in any unnecessary risks. The trail goes up and down along sandy ridges and past frozen streams. Once you reach the pass, you will be treated to incredible views of all the surrounding mountains before heading down Gokyo lake. ~8 hours
Day 12:Hike up to Gokyo Ri (17558ft.)
Hike up Gokyo Ri (5360m). Climbing steeply up above Gokyo lake, the trail to Gokyo Ri (peak) is hard going, but when you reach the top, the views make you forget everything. From here you can enjoy views of all the surrounding mountains with Everest towering over them. Absolutely breath taking, (once you’ve caught your breath!). You will return back to Gokyo for lunch.
Day 13: Trek to Dragnag
Today will be pretty short day. we will be crossing the Nozumba glacier than continue our hike to Dagnag. ~3.5 hours
Day14: Hike to Dzonglha (15,850ft.)
We will be hiking up to Chola Pass it will be one of the hard and long day as well. Will require to use micro spike while we are crossing the pass.It will take about 4 hours and then descend to Dzonglha. ~6 to 7 hours
Day 15: Trek to Tyangboche (12664ft)
We’ll start our hike from here heading toward Dhukla. From there, we will continue on the main trail to Everest base camp, passing through Pheriche and Pangboche, following the Dhud Koshi river and crossing the suspension bridge to Debuche, climbing up the hill through rhododendron forest to Tengboche. ~6 hours
Day 16: Trek to Namche (12,300)
We will be decending to Phungi Thanga crossing the Dhud khoshi river and climb up to Sanasa then to Namche bazar. ~5 hours
Day 17: Trek to Lukla (9,383ft.)
Another long day descending back down to Lukla following the Dudh Kosi river through the valley. The route goes down and up finishing at the end with a climb through the forest, past villages and finally reaching Lukla, where you can put your feet up! ~6 to 7 hours
Day 18: Fly to Kathmandu
Most of the time, depending on the weather, we depart from Lukla early in the morning. The flight to Kathmandu is roughly 45 minutes. We’ll check into the hotel and meet around 6 pm for a farewell dinner.
Day 19 and 20: Fly Home
