
EVEREST BASE CAMP
Everest base camp trek, the ultimate himalayan trek. There is no doubt: the best way to visit Nepal is on foot. The trek will take you through the shadows of the most magnificent mountains on Earth to finally see the roof of the world. Enjoy the 15 days trek, trailing through beautiful sherpa villages, listening to the sounds of yak bells, wandering from teahouse to teahouse, all while experiencing deeply rooted cultures of the Sherpa people.
With Khangri experience, we believe you will get to know the culture, language and rituals of the Sherpa lives that are so hidden in the depths of the Himalayas. Our guides have grown up in these villages and put in many miles on these trails. We will provide quality meals and lodging along the way so you can have the experience without worrying about the logistics and preparation.
The Lodge-based trek has travelers follow in the tracks of the mountaineers all while sharing the same room and board along the way.

After your arrival at the Kathmandu Airport. We will pick you up and get checked in at the Yak and Yeti Hotel located at the center of Kathmandu. in the evening we will have gears check and orientation.

After breakfast we will visit various famous landmarks. These landmarks include: buddhist stupa Swayambhunath (monkey Temple), Boudhanath, and Hindu Temple and cremation center Pasupatui Nath. after lunch last minute shopping and welcome dinner

Early in the morning, we will start our day by taking a flight to Lukla, using a Twin Otter airplane. Lukla is situated at an elevation of 9,318 feet. Upon our arrival in Lukla, we will meet with our Sherpas, staff, and porters, and commence our trek to Everest Base Camp. The initial leg of the trek will lead us to Phakding, a relatively easy hike that should take about 3 to 4 hours to complete, covering a distance of 8.2 kilometers (5.1 miles) with an elevation loss of 755 feet.

Departing from Phakding, we will initiate our trek by following the course of the Dudh Koshi River, crossing several high suspension bridges, and ascending to an elevation of 2,723 feet. Our destination is Namche Bazaar, renowned as the trading hub of the Khumbu region. Here, Tibetan and Nepali traders convene for the Saturday market, fostering an exchange of goods. Namche Bazaar also serves as the gateway to the Himalayas, celebrated for the magnificent vistas it offers.

After breakfast we will take an acclimatization hike to Hotel Everest View 12730ft (3,880m) gaining about 1,700ft feet above Namche, from here we will have a great View of Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Amadablam and many others neighboring peaks. In the afternoon we will visit Namche market. 4 hours (3.4 miles)

From Namche, we will trek to Thame. An easy 3 hours trek to some of the most famous Sherpas climbers’ hometown in the world. Such climbers include: Tenzing Norgey, the first person to climb Everest, Ang Rita sherpa, known as snow leopard, that has summited Everest 10 time without supplement of O2, Apa Sherpa, known as the super sherpa, the first person to climb Everest 21 time, Kami Rita, known as the Everest man, who climbed Everest 28 times and finally lakpa Rita sherpa, the first Sherpa/Nepali to climb the highest peak of every continent.

From Thame, we will hike back towards Namche for 2.5 hours and take the upper trail to Khumjung, home of Edmund Hillary school that was built in 1961 by Sir Ed Hillary and the Himalayan trust.

From Khumjung we will descend to Phungi Thanga, crossing Dudh Koshi River and then ascend to Tengboche (12,683 ft./3,865 m), through the rhododendron forest and continue to Pangboche.

From Pangboche, the vegetation will change to a high alpine zone. We will be trekking along the left side of Dudh koshi river. It is a pretty easy hike.

We will be hiking above Dingboche to Nagarjung hill trying to Gain 2,000ft . From there, we will have a great view of Lotshe, Island peak, Tabuche, Cholatshe, Lobuje Peak, Amadablam, Baruntse and Makalu.

From Dingboche, we will head to Lobuche. Our trek begins pretty easy to Thukla, then after about 40 minutes of uphill, we will reach the plateau where we will see many of the sherpa memorial including Scott fisher and many others non-sherpa climbers.

From Lobuche, the trail to Gorak shep winds through the glacial moraine. At Gorak Shep 16,814ft, we will have our lunch. If the weather allows, we will climb to Kalapathar peak (18,300 ft./5,577 m) and back to Gorak Shep and spend the night.

We will start our hike pretty early to Everest Base Camp and back to Dhukla. The last three days of the trek can be quite strenuous, particularly after reaching Everest Base Camp and Kalapthar, as fatigue and exhaustion may set in. To accommodate for this, there is an option to shorten the trip by four-days. From Dukla you will pass through the charming village of Pheriche, known for its breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. Taking approximately half an hour from Pheriche, you will eventually reach a point where the trail intersects with the path previously followed on the ascent. From there, you will continue your trek along the familiar route, proceeding towards the revered Tengboche, renowned for its sacred monastery and awe-inspiring vistas.

Our journey will lead us through a lush rhododendron forest, where we will cross the Dudh Kosi River before reaching Pangboche. Throughout the day, we will enjoy stunning views of Ama Dablam from various angles. As we continue from Pangboche, the landscape will transition to a high alpine zone, and our path will follow the left bank of the Dudh Kosi River.

We will begin our day with an early morning departure to climb up to the summit of Kala Patthar, where we'll witness the sunrise over Everest. The ascent will take approximately 3 hours. After enjoying the incredible sunrise view, we'll descend to Gorakshep for lunch. Following our meal, we will continue our journey to Lobuche.

Today's trek will be relatively easy and shorter in duration. We will descend towards Dukla and, just before reaching the Sherpa memorial, we will make a right turn towards Cho La Pass. Along the way, we'll be treated to breathtaking views of Cholatse rising majestically from the serene Chola Lake.

Today is set to be a challenging day as we ascend to Chola Pass at an elevation of 17,782 feet. Most likely, we will use Microspikes to traverse the glacier on the east side of the pass. This part of the journey will take around 6 to 7 hours. After reaching the pass, we will begin a descent of 2,362 feet, ultimately arriving at Dragnag, covering a distance of approximately 5.86 miles.

Today's journey will be relatively short. We will cross the Ngozumpa Glacier, known as the largest glacier in the entire Himalaya, before continuing our hike to Gokyo Lake. This portion of the trek will take about 3 hours, and once we arrive at Gokyo Lake, we will have a leisurely afternoon to enjoy the surroundings.

We will embark on a challenging hike up Gokyo Ri, which stands at an elevation of 17,575 feet. The trail ascends steeply above Gokyo Lake, making it a demanding climb. However, the incredible panoramic views from the summit make all the effort worthwhile. At the top, you'll be treated to breathtaking vistas of the surrounding mountains, with Everest majestically towering above them. It's absolutely awe-inspiring, once you've caught your breath!
After descending from Gokyo Ri, we will return to Gokyo for lunch.

This day will be another long and challenging one as we cross the Renjo Pass, which stands at an elevation of 17,536 feet. The trail will lead us up and down along sandy ridges and past frozen streams. Once you reach the pass, you will be rewarded with incredible views of the surrounding mountains before descending to Lungden.

Today's trek will be relatively easy, mostly downhill, and will take approximately 3 to 4 hours. Our destination is Thami village, renowned as the home of famous Sherpa climbers.

We will descend along the Bhote Koshi River, passing through beautiful rhododendron and pine forests, and eventually reach Namche Bazaar in time for lunch. Afterward, we will continue our journey to Monjo, located just outside the entrance of the national park, where we will spend the night.

Everest Base Camp Refund Policy:
Please note that the registration fee is non-refundable.
Full refunds, less the registration fee ($500), will be provided for cancellations made before 121 days before the expedition date.
Our refund policy also protects other trekkers that have dedicated their time and capital to the trek.
Trip Cancellation Insurance:
We highly advise our clients to take out trip cancellation insurance with your travel agent if you wish to be covered against cancellation due to personal or medical reasons.
This may be the only way to receive your non-refundable deposits.
